weekends with friends

Spring weekends spent with friends are the best. 

Riding our bikes to the nearest lake, only 30 minutes from where we live. 

Sharing a cool bottle of radler, laughing so loud the birds around us start to imitate us.

Later picking up a bunch of peonies from a street vendor, 

a nice contrast against the dark kitchen wall.

In trees, behind trees, 

was where I spent the first of May.

Of course I would wear a lace dress to do that. Who wouldn't?

I also booked a flight to Melbourne, Australia

to attend the wedding of two wonderful friends of mine

(and escape winter here, which is a nice side effect).
