Weekends are always too short these days.

Hopefully going on a mini-vacation soon (think: cabin, fireplace, candles, bubble baths, snow... that's if I won't be tired of snow by then, which is likely since I tend to get tired of snow and winter and cold pretty quickly)

my cat gets a lot of attention (which i realise may be annoying to some internet folks, but hey, a little cute goes a long way). also, i have very pretty friends and a very handsome boyfriend. yes, that's the whole point of this post. 

 i'm currently in the process of packing for our U.S. east coast trip, so the next time you'll hear from me i'll be in NYC!

 

lately

been a little quiet on here but it's not because i haven't been doing anything - on the contrary, i've been quite busy with friends and photography, mostly. i also update my flickr, tumblr and cargo collective on a regular basis, so not everything i create ends up on here. 

i'm really looking forward to NYC, though i doubt i will be able to fit all the camera equipment i want to bring in a suitcase (if i plan to change my clothes at all), including my new macbook which i'll probably leave at home. 

that said, here are some shots that sum up the past few weeks. 

i have yet to find out what it is exactly that i want to do with my life from here on out. i graduate from uni in october (hopefully, ...) and i know where i'll live and with whom and where my friends will be but i don't know what i will be. i will photograph and i will write, for one thing. i can never stop doing that.

i will also continue to miss the friends who live far away, enjoy the company of those who live near, travel & be creative with my boyfriend and try to outsmart my cat who is turning out to be a complete maniac (though a cute one).

my trusty yashica who now mostly serves as a prop for photos and miranda july's it chooses you. i admire her eloquence and creativity and me and you and everyone we know may be condemned by some as too 'artsy' and therefore bad, but i love it. i like the way she puts things into words and i like the way she transmits words via images. i like the way she thinks, i like how she does exactly what she wants.

we've been having friends over. we've been enjoying summer even if we are busier than ever. i like it when friends bring wine. i like plums. shooting indoors has become harder because my cat tends to interfere, but you know, he gets away with it because he's just too damn cute.

oliver, our new siamese seal point kitten who has been keeping as busy (and awake) since sunday when we picked him up and drove 2.5 hours back home with him sleeping in my lap (occasionally biting my finger and trying to get away to explore the car). we hadn't been looking for anything other than a "regular" house cat, but i saw his picture and fell in love. like all kittens, he can go from cute to mischievous and back within seconds...
